Rendered 'next-gen' textures 3ds max, Photoshop January 2007
These are tileable 'next-gen' environment textures that are rendered in 3dsmax, on a plane with a static light setup.
Image is fairly representative to how they look ingame.
Each texture is comprised of 4 separate texture maps (diffuse, bump, normal, specular) resolutions vary depending on what's appropriate and most effective.
Normalmaps produced in mudbox and additional heightmap conversion.
